Position Overview The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a construction project, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion within the established budget. They must work collaboratively with the project team, subcontractors, and others in order to achieve the desired project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all construction activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Supervise and direct all subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel to ensure the job is being done safely and efficiently.
Coordinate the inspection and acceptance of work with the contractor.
Resolve any issues that arise on the project, and coordinate with other team members to develop and implement solutions.
Ensure all safety standards are being met on the job site.
Create, track, and manage project schedules.
Coordinate with the project team to ensure the project is progressing according to plan.
Prepare weekly project reports for the team and management.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction field.
Strong working knowledge of all aspects of Foundation, Slabs, Walls, and Site Concrete.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction drawings.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and take direction.
Safety-conscious attitude.
Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office and Project Management software.
