Job Details We are in search of a dynamic and dedicated Estimator for our Heavy Highway/Structures division. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our team, providing accurate and competitive estimates for heavy highway projects, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. This is a full‑time position that requires a high level of expertise and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy highway construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and other documentation.

Identify labor, material, and time requirements for each project by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents.

Evaluate and forecast project costs, including equipment, labor, materials, and time, and provide recommendations to optimize resources and reduce costs.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates.

Maintain a comprehensive database of up‑to‑date cost estimates, historical data, and cost inputs for future reference.

Review and assess cost estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality assurance procedures.

Monitor and track changes in design, scope, or site conditions that could impact project costs and adjust estimates accordingly.

Participate in proposal presentations and client meetings to explain cost estimates and answer any questions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the heavy highway construction industry.

Proficiency in budgeting and cost estimating, with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to evaluate and analyze complex blueprints and technical documents.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, managers, and clients.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency in using estimating software and other industry‑standard tools.

A strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
