We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials and components. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize costs. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives for purchased items. Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material specifications are met. Manage supplier performance, relationships, and resolve supply chain issues. Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Demonstrated project management skills, particularly for new product introduction or supplier development. Experience in global sourcing and managing international supplier relationships. Technical background or strong aptitude for understanding complex engineering specifications.
