Event Specialist – Sky Ranch Dallas Office
The Event Specialist will support the Cowboys & Cowboys Gala, Silent Auction, post‑Gala cleanup, donor database entry, and other event tasks to advance Sky Ranch’s mission of guiding youth and families in Christ.
Sky Ranch is a year‑round recreational camp ministry, with locations in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Our mission is to lead youth and families to know and follow Christ.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in all aspects of the Cowboys & Cowboys Gala, including picking up items around DFW, soliciting, packing, and organizing the event.
Assist in all aspects of the Silent Auction for the Cowboys & Cowboys Gala, including soliciting, entering items into software, and picking up items.
Assist in cleaning and organizing post‑Gala, including organizing materials in the Dallas office, reaching out to guests, and delivering auction items.
Enter data into the donor database and event system.
Support other Cowboys & Cowboys tasks as needed.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures.
Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of administrative experience.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping is preferred. Extensive data entry, database development, management, and report writing is required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access. Knowledge of donor management software preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills. Ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in multi‑tiered relationships. Ability to plan, manage, and report financial information proficiently. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skill required. Ability to investigate, analyze, and draw conclusions. Ability to prepare moderately complex reports. Independent thinking and initiative. Excellent professional written communication. Clear oral communication. Excellent listening skills. Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi‑task. Mutually trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Confidentiality. Communicate vision and values to internal and external customers.
