This is a commercial strategy and business development role focused on moving the USA business forward through investor relations, commercial strategy, partnership development, and growth initiatives for the Lionel business. The Role
As
Strategy and Growth Manager , you will help move our USA business forward through supporting investor relations, developing commercial strategies, structuring and negotiating partnership deals, and leading business development for our Lionel business. Your time will be allocated across three responsibility areas: Developing viable leads for potential strategic partnerships Leading stakeholder and relationship management to develop partnerships Owning commercial proposals and cost-benefit analyses Project managing partnership programs in collaboration with our tech and commercial teams Co-developing a U.S. market entry strategy for Lionel in non-exhibition segments Responsibilities
Business development and sales (Lionel): Responding to inbound leads, executing outbound campaigns, conducting in-person meetings, generating leads during robot deployments and industry events, and attending exhibition conferences to grow network and client base Fundraising strategy and investor management: Maintaining investor tracking lists, coordinating Series B follow-ups, attending investor meetings, reviewing initial subscription agreements and other Series B documents, and co-leading investor management and compliance with the CEO after Series B Board and investor communications: Managing Board Meeting logistics, preparing Board Papers and minutes, and handling investor updates and queries oNote: This is a strong opportunity for someone interested in commercial strategy and business development and gaining first-hand experience in a rapidly growing start-up. The role requires proactivity and the ability to enable others through well-organized systems and processes. About You
What we would like to see in an applicant: Minimum 1-2 years of experience at a
management consulting firm
(e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, EY, Deloitte, LEK, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, AT Kearney) Honors degree from a top-tier internationally recognized university Entrepreneurial drive, strategic business acumen, creative thinking, and an ability to think laterally Ability to
negotiate
effectively on behalf of the company Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong
Excel & PowerPoint
skills Proven strengths in data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis Exceptional presentation, proposal writing and commercial strategy / business case writing skills Ability to understand and align with the
business needs of potential clients, investors
and other stakeholders Meticulous organization and excellent attention to detail Fluency in written and spoken English Willingness to relocate to our USA HQ in Las Vegas (preferred), or work remotely from the San Francisco Bay Area with travel to Las Vegas The following are helpful but not required: Experience with or consulting to a technology-focused
start-up Experience in growth strategy, business development or sales roles or consulting Familiarity with contractual terms in B2B sales This is a
commercial role ; engineering/technical/robotics qualifications are not required, but enthusiasm for robotics and using technology to help society is important. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the idea of working in an entrepreneurial culture.
