Business Service Representative
actively engages local employers to promote the Career Centers' services and uses business information to support the career coaching team, enhancing the marketability and success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in local strategic planning for employer demand–driven programs, training, and services in our region.
Contact employers to assess their needs and provide information on services available through the Public Workforce System.
Provide various services to businesses, including job order posting, job referrals, recruitments, job fairs, referrals to partners, apprenticeships, labor market information, and other services as needed. Respond to incoming requests from employers in our region.
Ensure Career Center staff are aware of employers’ needs and job order specifications to facilitate prompt and effective servicing of job orders.
Work collaboratively with team members to facilitate placement of Career Center customers into open positions.
Conduct and/or coordinate group presentations to employers.
Plan, organize, and conduct job fairs, special events, and recruitments to provide large‑scale labor exchange opportunities for both employers and job seekers.
Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
A minimum of a high‑school diploma or equivalent and three years of customer service or relevant experience is required.
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human services, public administration, business management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
At least two years of experience working in a career center, providing services to businesses, or other related experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to function effectively as part of a business services team.
Knowledge and experience with WIOA (and other Career Center Programs) regulations, programs, guidelines, and administrative requirements are preferred.
Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
Expected Salary:
$52,000 USD. Due to funding restrictions, team parity, and our strong focus on equity, this salary is thoughtfully aligned with the duties expected for this role and cannot be negotiated.
