Role Summary Reporting to the Director of Business Development Operations, the analyst supports Suffolk’s National and Regional sellers by delivering data, insights, and tools that enable our sellers to operate more effectively and strategically. This role combines strong analytical and technical skills with business acumen to build scalable reporting, provide actionable insights, and improve the efficiency of business development operations.
The Analyst will partner closely with Finance, Strategy, and Data teams, as well as with regional operational leaders, to design and automate high‑quality analytical solutions that enhance visibility into business performance and empower data‑driven decision‑making. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to some of Suffolk’s biggest company‑wide initiatives.
Responsibilities
Enable data‑driven selling: develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and models that help Business Development teams track performance, pipeline health, and revenue opportunities.
Deliver ad‑hoc and automated insights: conduct targeted analyses to address immediate business questions while designing repeatable, automated reporting solutions for ongoing needs.
Integrate complex data sources: combine data from multiple systems (e.g., financial, operational, and CRM) to create unified, reliable datasets that inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate across teams: work closely with Finance, Strategy, and Data teams to align on key metrics, validate data, and ensure consistency in reporting.
Drive operational efficiency: identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and automate manual processes.
Ensure data quality and governance: apply strong validation, documentation, and QA practices to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Communicate insights effectively: present findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling way to business and executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or operations, preferably within a large or complex organization.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
Experience building data visualizations in Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with Databricks, Google BigQuery, or similar cloud‑based analytics environments.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple disparate sources.
Proven success delivering both ad‑hoc analyses and automated reporting solutions.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on enabling business performance through data.
Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, talk or hear, perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and/or hands. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package for employees. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s/ candidate's skill set, experience, education and other qualifications, including budgetary objectives. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
