Business Development Representative We are Pencilwrench, an innovative automotive software company that helps dealerships improve processes, increase income opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction. We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to generate interest in and facilitate demonstrations of our proprietary software to dealerships across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Consistently prospect and generate leads in advance to meet daily call volume

Participate in 4 weeks of interactive training designed to educate on product knowledge, learn our CRM system processes, familiarize yourself with our value proposition, and make initial sales calls with the support of our training team.

Make a minimum of 50 outbound calls per day to engage with automotive dealerships and educate them on Pencilwrench and schedule a minimum of eight appointments to demo our software.

Schedule a minimum of 30 qualified demos per month

Conduct a minimum of 15 demos per month

Follow up on inbound leads within 30 minutes according to SLA guidelines

Use CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce) to manage pipeline, log activity, update accounts, and follow defined workflows

Follow call scripts and receive constructive feedback for professional growth

Conduct basic discovery calls to determine lead quality

Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to build future pipeline

Maintain accurate records and activity metrics for reporting

Requirements

0-2 years of B2B sales or inside sales experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and time management skills

Ability to work in a high-volume, metric-driven environment

Self‑starter with a coachable attitude and desire to learn and grow

Technical Skills

CRM navigation (HubSpot/Salesforce) preferred

General knowledge of using a MacBook or PC preferred
