Responsibilities
Assist with developing and executing high‑level RFPs marketing/cross‑platform media proposals across the NBCU portfolio.
Lead in the creation of strategic proposals for incoming new business opportunities by creating multi‑market cross‑platform media plans and sponsorships based on cost, available inventory and approved products to meet advertiser and category objectives.
Work with editorial and sales marketing teams to develop media plans with maximum impact and feasibility.
Help develop and track strategic social campaigns across the NBCU Local portfolio, including local and tentpole sports opportunities.
Maintain relationships with direct client partners during pre‑sale and post‑sale by communicating campaign deliveries and post‑buy analysis.
Liaison with research, strategy, production, AdOps, editorial and finance teams.
Use internal research and external media trends to become a strategist for sales team and clients.
Complete additional projects as directed by VP of Strategic Planning & Marketing and Director of Strategic Planning including project management, custom content creation, social‑first campaigns and tentpole event activation (e.g., Olympics, Super Bowl, World Cup, NFL, Thanksgiving Parade, award shows, etc.).
Assist in the coordination of sales marketing materials.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–3 years experience in media planning, buying or sales with knowledge of broadcast, digital, social and out‑of‑home preferred.
Must be expert in Excel and proficient in PowerPoint.
Experience with Wide Orbit, Donovan, Sales Force, Op1, Freewheel and media research tools, broadcast and/or digital sales systems.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Exceptional communication, project management and presentation skills.
Clear, concise, objective and professional written and verbal communicator.
Superior organizational skills – must manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi‑task and handle projects independently as well as part of a team.
Must be willing to work in the New York City area.
Desired Characteristics
Working knowledge of marketing and creative assets, terminology and standard practices.
Collaborative, team‑player who exhibits strong communication and problem‑solving skills when working with several internal departments and external partners/vendors.
Expertise in financial metrics.
Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Acute attention to detail and well‑organized.
Creative and strategic planner with clear ideation and execution abilities.
Knowledge of changing digital landscape a plus.
Hybrid:
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
