Sand Valley is a golf resort and community settled gently upon 12,000 acres of rugged, pre-historic sand dunes in central Wisconsin. Here, residents and guests will find six world-class golf courses built in harmony with the land: Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, Sandbox, The Lido, Sedge Valley, and Commons. Position Summary: The main role of a Sand Valley Junior Caddie is to guarantee that the guests have a pleasurable day of golf.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to carry golf bag(s) for 6+ miles
Monitoring group pace of play
Deliver a high end, one of a kind experience to each resort guest
Provide guests with course knowledge, share information about the resort, and hold casual conversation throughout the round
Assist golfer with decisions on golf shots
Maintain condition of mowed areas and hazards; fix divots, ballmarks, etc.
Help calculate guests' yardages
Clean golf balls and clubs
Locate errant shots
Assist guest services team with additional tasks
Additional resort assistance; including but not limited to supporting grounds with general course maintenance or Ball Boy/Girl at Tennis Complex.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in customer service, hospitality or golf industry preferred but not required
Demonstrate quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Teamwork is essential
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 8 hours at a time
