The American Gem Society (AGS) is seeking a passionate, people‑first professional to join our Membership team as a Community Ambassador. What You’ll Do As a Community Ambassador, you’ll be the face of AGS to current and prospective members—strengthening relationships, driving membership growth, and creating exceptional experiences. You’ll combine sales expertise with clienteling skills to connect with members, understand their needs, and help them thrive through AGS programs and events.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with members through personalized outreach and service.
Drive new member recruitment, renewals, and upgrades across all AGS membership categories.
Identify opportunities to increase engagement through event participation, sponsorships, and advertising.
Serve as an on‑the‑ground representative at industry events, trade shows, and member visits.
Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless, high‑quality member experience.
Contribute to team initiatives tied to revenue, growth, and member satisfaction goals.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated success in relationship‑based or client‑focused sales; experience in retail or jewelry environments is a plus.
Strong communication and listening skills with a natural ability to connect and inspire trust.
A proactive, self‑motivated approach to achieving goals while nurturing long‑term relationships.

A results‑driven mindset with genuine enthusiasm for sales and helping members grow.
Willingness to travel to meet members and attend industry events, with up to approximately 25% travel required.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
