Position Small Crew Foreman – Telecom Program, Indiana (Elkhart, Valparaiso, Lafayette, Kokomo, Marion)

Responsibilities

Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.

Install and/or relocate aerial and underground cable, including fiber optic, transport, distribution, and drop cable, ensuring compliance with industry standards and timely, cost‑efficient execution.

Lead telecom line crews through all phases of construction activity.

Record crew production and time using the company‑provided iPad.

Qualifications

Must be able to climb poles using pole climber gaffs and have knowledge of setting poles with digger trucks and cable placer trucks for copper and fiber cable.

3 to 5 years of experience as a small crew foreman, with the ability to detect power‑space violations and safety issues.

Must be able to lift, reach, dig, and carry heavy objects, with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and infrequent lifting up to 100 lbs.

Position requires significant manual labor, walking on uneven ground, operating in tight spaces, and overall physical demand; must perform work safely and efficiently.

Work 4–5 days per week with overtime as needed in an all‑weather environment; willingness to travel as required.

Possess a CDL‑A driver’s license and a clean driving record.

All applicants must follow safety guidelines, wear personal protective equipment at all times, and speak fluent English.
