The Business Development Executive is responsible for development of brand recognition through identification and implementation of strategic opportunities for driving business growth within their assigned area of responsibility, as well as providing ongoing management and support of their customer’s portfolio within the transportation leasing industry. Texas Position Responsibilities
Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes to enhance the effectiveness of providing world-class service and support. Identify and research potential new customers. Provide input, implementation, and target key prospects in the AOR growth strategy. Create development plans and forecast sales targets and growth projections. Identify market opportunities through meetings (e.g., state association events) and networking. Bring new business opportunities through cold email, cold calls, networking, and social engagement. Negotiate lease terms with customers within defined protocols and communicate with stakeholders. Weekly/monthly visits to identified prospects and key accounts. Monitor transactions to ensure contracts are executed timely, including pickup/delivery of equipment. Manage relationships and development of existing accounts to ensure portfolio growth and adherence to company policies. Track, identify, and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline. Work inbound leads as identified by the Fleet Leasing Team. Coordinate with the sales team to develop proposals/quotes. Accountable for renewals, lease terminations, and inventory management under customer portfolio. Provide feedback regarding competitive intelligence in the assigned market. Ensure SOPs are maintained and up to date. Maintain good working knowledge of all TEL products and services. Work with credit and collections on underwriting, deal implementation, and collection processes. Adhere to all SOPs and Company Policies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Salesforce or other CRM skills Ability to work with a team to problem solve and deliver outstanding customer experience Hunter mentality with positive energy and a drive to achieve goals Awareness of transportation market trends Coachable with a desire to learn new skillsets Strong Microsoft Office skills Understanding of financial statements and business practices affecting operations Understanding of trucking operations and how TEL can add value to profitability and cash flow Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience Three or more years of experience in B2B sales in the transportation industry Benefits
