Lead Server / Dietary Trainer

Position Purpose: The Lead Server/Trainer is responsible for assisting the Dining Room Manager with the coordination, seating, appearance, and maintenance of the dining areas and server stations and ensuring that hospitality services are delivered effectively.
Essential Job Duties
Supervises the physical appearance of the dining room and server stations including tabletop settings, chairs, floors, window coverings, lighting, and guest menus.
Coordinates the seating of the residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner.
Creates stations and shift assignments for service staff as well as all checkout procedures for servers at the end of their shift.
Records meal counts, reservations, and additional resident/guest charges.
Complete knowledge of POS system.
Confers with Dining Room Manager and/or Executive Chef regarding dining room status.
Assigns and directs duties and tasks for service staff.
Assists in all policy implementation and procedural roll outs.
Able to serve guests and provide beverage and bar services as required.
Monitors supplies for Front of House service, i.e. paper goods, linens, carry out containers, etc.
Communicate with Executive chef regarding all supply needs.
Assists in scheduling.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Work with coworkers in a team environment promoting quality service, positive communication, and respect of residents.
Assists coworkers in preparation and serving of food in accordance with directions and standards.
Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds and move lifted items three (3) to four (4) feet
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop and reach frequently
Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and accident prevention
Knowledge of basic sanitation, food preparation, and the maintenance of kitchen and food service areas
Preferred Job-Related Experience/Abilities/Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
A minimum of two years Lead Server/trainer experience within a fine restaurant, club, hotel, or similar institution.
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Available seven (7) days per week for work schedule.
Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
