Sales Representative – Eaton Fire & Life Safety

Location: Florida and Georgia (home office). The role covers FL, GA, AL and requires >50% travel.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $132,000 per year with a variable incentive program. Compensation is based on skills, experience, and market considerations.

Overview Eaton’s Fire and Life Safety Division is a leading supplier in the Life Safety market, providing advanced solutions such as Wheelock notification appliances and SAFEPATH voice evacuation systems. The Southeast regional Sales Representative manages existing customers and focuses on developing new business opportunities within key vertical markets.

Responsibilities

Implement short-, medium-, and long-term strategic and tactical plans to promote Eaton’s Life Safety products, aggressively growing sales.

Aggressively manage and track the business opportunity pipeline.

Use a consultative style to evaluate prospective customers’ existing fire systems, processes, and potential gaps; identify solutions incorporating appropriate Eaton product lines/technology.

Develop solution strategies to sell comprehensive fire notification solutions to decision makers, project consultants, contractors, architects, engineers, code enforcement officials, and other end users.

Work collaboratively through a network of national accounts, security distribution, engineer systems dealers and integrators to achieve target sales goals.

Develop new relationships that drive growth within targeted areas.

Manage and coordinate the distributor & integrator network already established.

Support other business development initiatives as needed.

Actively participate in industry organizations and represent Eaton at a national member or higher level.

Promote the company’s mission and vision by supporting Eaton’s ethics and values and quality policies.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Fire and Life Safety systems products and/or services.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Valid & unrestricted driver’s license; relocation not offered (must reside in FL or GA; active duty military exempt).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

5 years’ experience in Fire and Life Safety systems products/services focused on commercial, institutional, or industrial markets.

3 years’ of outside sales experience.

Skills

Proven track record of building lasting relationships with distributors, end users, intercompany leaders and sales teams.

Strong project and program management skills with attention to detail.

Excellent customer service and sales performance orientation.

Self‑motivated with minimal supervision needed to exceed expectations.

Strong industry knowledge of codes and standards.

Excellent communication skills.
