Base Pay Range $75,000 – $175,000 per year

What you’ll be doing
Prospecting and lead generation – identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking.
Relationship building – cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, develop long‑term partnerships, and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals.
Client consultations – meet with clients to understand their energy needs and risk tolerance and identify how 5 can best serve them.
Continuous learning – stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Sales presentations – compose and deliver compelling sales presentations, communicating the benefits of energy products and services to potential clients.
Negotiation and closing – address client concerns and objections, with the goal of closing sales and achieving revenue targets.
Collaboration with teams – work with internal teams, such as operations and management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with overall business goals.
CRM management – use Customer Relationship Management tools (HubSpot) to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process.
What you’ll bring
3 or more years of experience in the energy industry (retail gas, electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a related industry.
3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales.
Experience identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other channels.
Ability to succeed with a high level of autonomy while embracing a team‑oriented sales process, displaying resilience and unwavering determination.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team while independently driving sales initiatives.
Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
BA/BS degree preferred.

Compensation
Base salary: $75,000 – $175,000 per year, with flexibility to go higher for exceptional experience.
Uncapped commission potential – top performers can earn well above the base salary.
