Level II Technician, Fleet

ADB is seeking a Level II Technician, Fleet to perform mid‑level maintenance and repairs on various sized vehicles and construction equipment. The Level II Technician has the technical knowledge and experience to perform general diagnostic and repairs including preventative maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment. Roles And Responsibilities
Performs mid‑level technician functions including electrical, general diagnostic, minor HVAC, preventative maintenance and repairs on various fleet vehicles and construction equipment
Knowledge of gas and diesel operations to perform general repairs independently
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs, including hydraulic systems, on business‑critical construction equipment (vac, drills, excavators, etc.)
Utilizing required certifications, has the ability to perform DOT inspections on various vehicles
Can independently perform hydraulic and air brake systems and small engine repairs including 2‑ and 4‑stroke engines
Performs mid‑level fabrications using MIG welder and oxy/acetylene torch
Ability to perform complex check‑engine and ABS light testing and diagnose various drivability issues
Follows all OSHA and ADB standards of shop cleanliness, organization, and safety
Safety is the expectation; complete buy‑in to the safety culture and expectations by leading by example and actively participating in pre‑task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organization
Strong communication skills with professionalism to support customers, vendors, and internal leaders with any complaints and/or issues that may arise
Performs other position duties when requested

This position operates out of a Warehouse/Fleet Shop environment that could include constant exposure to dust and/or outside elements
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels
Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, fleet uniforms, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest
Experience And Education
3+ years of fleet technician and/or heavy equipment repairs experience required
Certification of graduation from an accredited school focused on Fleet Mechanics preferred
609 Certification and DOT Inspector Qualification preferred (ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required)
ASE T1‑T8 Certificates a plus
State Inspector License Preferred (in applicable states)
Class A CDL License preferred (ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required)
High School diploma or equivalent required
The starting pay for this position is $28.00 per hour and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
