Directly responsible for selling used vehicles meeting gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. Must present a professional appearance.

Key Responsibilities
Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking pertinent questions and listening carefully.
Demo used vehicles, including test drives.
Know the incoming inventory including features and accessories and explain how they benefit customers.
Deliver used vehicles to customers and ensure understanding of operating features, warranty, and maintenance schedule.
Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
Review monthly objectives, weekly activities, and daily planned activities with the Used Vehicle Sales Manager.
Understand terminology of automobile business and stay informed on technological changes.
Know federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
Introduce customers to Service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs.
Report any vehicle lot damage or problems immediately and complete all training as directed.
Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Strong presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers.
Problem‑solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret written, oral, or schedule instructions.
Physical Requirements
Exposure to outside weather conditions.
Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regular standing, talking, and hearing.
Frequent walking and sitting.
Possible exposure to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
Visual requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision.
