Construction Sales Representative – Outside Sales at Midwest Elite Exteriors LLC – Elgin, IL Join a Growing, High Demand Industry with Real Earning Potential Position Overview Midwest Elite Exteriors LLC is hiring Outside Sales Representatives to support continued growth in roofing, siding, gutters, and exterior restoration services. This is a field-based, in-home sales role where representatives meet homeowners at their property, conduct inspections, provide professional consultations, and guide clients through retail, insurance-assisted, and financed exterior projects. Sales representatives own the customer relationship from the initial meeting through project completion and final collection. This position combines consultative sales with end-to-end deal ownership. How Success Is Measured Success in this role is clearly defined and performance-based: Building and maintaining a qualified monthly sales pipeline Submitting complete, accurate documentation that supports fast approvals Moving projects efficiently from approval to build to final collection Managing customer expectations through project completion Maintaining deal quality that supports timely collections Representatives who demonstrate strong organization, follow-through, and accountability progress faster through the pipeline and earn commissions more consistently. Typical Responsibilities Conduct in-home consultations and exterior inspections Present roofing, siding, gutter, and restoration solutions Assist homeowners with insurance and financing options when applicable Perform prospecting, follow-up, and outside sales activity Document inspections, photos, contracts, and job details accurately Coordinate paperwork and approvals with internal teams Maintain ownership of each job through final collection Evenings and some weekends are expected based on homeowner availability. Lead Sources & Support Midwest Elite Exteriors provides multiple lead channels, including: Paid lead lists Online sourced live leads Company-generated opportunities Sales representatives are also expected to generate their own opportunities through outside sales activity, referrals, and centers of influence. Self-generated deals are encouraged and rewarded. Ideal Candidate Profile This role is well-suited for sales professionals who: Are comfortable with in-home, outside sales Can close deals and manage them through completion Take ownership of documentation and follow-through Are organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented Want performance-based compensation tied to real outcomes Prefer W-2 stability with uncapped earning potential Experience in roofing, restoration, construction, or home improvement sales is a plus, but not required. Employment Type & Benefits Full-time W-2 position Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays Mileage reimbursement Structured training and ongoing support Compensation & Draw Structure Pay Structure Weekly draw: $1,000 per week (paid bi-weekly) Commission: 10% of collected revenue No commission cap First Quarter: Pipeline Build Phase The first 90 days are designed to allow new hires to build a strong pipeline without starting in a deficit. Pipeline Targets Month 1: $50,000 (minimum 75%) Month 2: $100,000 (minimum 75%) Month 3: $100,000 (minimum 80%) If monthly pipeline targets are met: The draw is considered earned The draw is not charged back Monthly reconciliation confirms earned status A representative who meets first-quarter targets earns approximately $13,000 in draw with no deficit carried forward. Commission Timing & Collections Commissions are paid monthly, one month in arrears Paid on 10% of collected revenue Typical project cycle: Build completion: 30–45 days Final collections: within 60 days The quality of documentation and follow-through directly impacts how quickly commissions are paid. Ongoing Quarters & Quarterly True-Up After the first quarter: Weekly draw continues Monthly commissions are offset by draw paid If a representative finishes a quarter at or above 100% of goal : All draw paid during the quarter is fully earned Any previously banked draw is paid out in the final check This structure ensures high performers are compensated fully for results.
