About the Role

This is a growth‑focused sales position targeting new international freight business across California and Illinois. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for developing new client relationships while working closely with internal operations and pricing teams to design competitive, solution‑led offerings. The role suits an experienced freight forwarding salesperson or a high‑performing inside sales professional ready to step into a more field‑facing, revenue‑driving position.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect, develop, and close new air and ocean freight opportunities within the CA and IL markets

Meet with prospective clients to understand logistics needs and present tailored forwarding solutions

Collaborate with pricing, operations, and leadership teams to structure competitive bids and proposals

Grow and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM tools

Maintain and expand existing client relationships to maximize long‑term account value

Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and networking functions

Candidate Requirements

3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding sales or inside sales

Strong working knowledge of international air and ocean freight services

Demonstrated success in new business development within logistics or supply chain environments

Confident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skills

Self‑motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a defined territory

Must be based in

California or Illinois , with flexibility for regional travel
