Base pay range $225,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for executive and board-level review.
Partner closely with company leadership to develop budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Manage external audit processes and relationships with accounting firms, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners.
Implement scalable accounting systems and processes aligned with company growth and increasing complexity.
Support strategic initiatives, including fundraising and financial due diligence for partnerships or acquisitions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and R&D to align financial practices with business needs.
Along with the technical team, evaluate and implement key AI processes to automate repetitive accounting tasks.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership in a Controller or Assistant Controller capacity.
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems implementation.
Proven experience managing audits, establishing compliant accounting policies, and scaling processes for growth.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA
Hands‑on experience with cost accounting and cost analysis for clinical diagnostic products
Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or technology industries.
Prior experience in a venture‑backed, pre‑commercial or early‑revenue company.
Familiarity with ERP implementation and system integration (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar platforms).
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA).
