Position Overview Harcum College is seeking an accomplished
Executive Director of Information Technology / CIO
to provide visionary and hands‑on leadership for all IT functions. Reporting directly to the President, the Executive Director will oversee strategic planning, system implementation, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and technology innovation across the College. This role requires strong ERP expertise (Ellucian preferred), proven leadership experience, and the ability to foster collaborative solutions that support Harcum’s mission, academic programs, and student success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead IT strategic and operational planning, fostering innovation and setting priorities among initiatives.
Anticipate and plan for future technology needs, including disaster recovery and business continuity.
Oversee daily operations of networks, hardware, operating systems, and applications for academic and administrative use.
Manage the IT budget, contracts, and vendor relationships.
Provide technical support and guidance to faculty, staff, and students, including LMS and ERP systems.
Direct, mentor, and evaluate IT staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Serve as project lead on IT initiatives, ensuring coordination with campus stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with student data collection and reporting requirements.
Maintain and document operational policies and procedures.
Participate in technical work such as network management, system security, and programming as needed.
Stay current with emerging technologies and practices to advance the College’s IT strategy.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range:
$80,000 – $95,000 annually , commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
7 or more years of progressively responsible IT experience, including leadership and managerial accountability (equivalent combinations of education and experience considered). Experience in Higher Education or closely allied non‑profit organizations is preferred.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, cloud management, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and database administration.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
Preferred: expertise with Ellucian ERP systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead IT operations and initiatives in a higher education setting.
