Responsibilities of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to: Service key accounts assigned by the Director of Sales and develop new accounts after a period of training and transition to be determined by him Grow our existing business of pumps, mechanical seals, and repair/service business, with a clear focus on Viking Pumps, Pulsafeeder Pumps, Flexaseal Mechanical Seals, PumpWorks ANSI, Liquiflo, Sulzer Pumps, and repair/service Expand our existing business into new accounts as determined by the Director of Sales Integrate and further entrench yourself, and DXP, into the very fabric of our customers' businesses Do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it. Develop and hone your listening skills. Be mindful of how you'll be perceived in all aspects of customer communication and relationships Develop the technical expertise required for the job, maintain a terrific attitude, dress appropriately, and be coachable Master the basics of fluid flow, pressure, head, friction loss, vibration, units of measure, basic math, and rotating equipment concepts Qualifications of the Sales Professional include, but are not limited to: A minimum of 2 years outside sales experience selling industrial rotating equipment such as Pumps, Mixers, and other rotating equipment related products Must have customer-service oriented mentality Computer literate
Apple product expertise a plus Organized and detail oriented Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience generating proposals and solutions Good analytical and problem-solving skills Self-starter demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal supervision Experience maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships with significant add-on/repeat business Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines Additional Information: Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Professional office and visiting current/potential clients Training/Certifications: None required Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift Travel: Regular driving to client locations Education: High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum Required Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
