Job Purpose The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, introducing, developing and nurturing business relationships within their designated territory. The goal is to generate and maximize revenue for the branch and the company.
Responsibilities
Daily territory management and revenue growth through visits to various customer job sites and offices.
Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them via telephone and internet.
Plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results and goals.
Maintain and exceed quotas by renting and selling equipment on a consistent basis.
Identify customer needs and respond appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitor pricing.
Penetrate customers at the strategic level to diversify the customer base to include industrial, traditional and nontraditional accounts.
Support all team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales or Business Administration preferred.
Proven track record with 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience within the industrial market and/or heavy equipment industry preferred.
Skills
Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers.
Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner.
Adaptability to unfamiliar environments and rapid adjustment.
Attention to detail.
Multi-tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals.
Customer service focused.
Ability to react to changing business needs.
Solid computer skill set; knowledge of MS Office preferred.
Effective communication with all levels of the company.
Pay Range $75,000 - $85,000 (first year anticipated earnings). Base Salary + uncapped commission + truck.
