Regional Sales Manager – Hotel Management & Consulting About the Role

Hotel Management & Consulting seeks a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and drive revenue for a portfolio of extended‑stay hotels in the Midwestern US. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results‑driven professional with a proven track record in hospitality sales, particularly within the extended‑stay segment. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and fostering strong relationships with clients, owners, and associates to maximize occupancy and revenue. Primary Duties

Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets for the assigned portfolio of extended‑stay hotels. Lead, mentor, and motivate the portfolio team to drive performance and achieve individual and team goals. Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, relocation companies, and other potential sources of extended‑stay business. Manage key accounts and negotiate corporate rates and contracts to drive long‑term business partnerships. Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats; adjust sales strategies accordingly. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and sales collateral to support the sales effort. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR); take corrective actions as necessary. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the extended‑stay hotels and build brand awareness. Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences and address any customer satisfaction concerns promptly. Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management to communicate progress toward sales goals and identify areas for improvement. Foster a positive, sales‑focused team attitude and maintain clear, efficient communication among all team members for overall performance of the hotels. Provide sales training and support to hotel sales leaders, GM, and DM teams to develop, coach, and assist in the sales strategy, efforts, tools, and tactics. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the hospitality industry, focusing on extended‑stay accommodations. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multi‑unit environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, inspire, and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative sales strategies to stay ahead of the competition. Proficiency in sales management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel 50% within the region and occasionally nationally for business meetings and industry events. A demonstrated passion for the hospitality industry and a customer‑centric mindset to deliver outstanding service. Ability to engage with key partners successfully and effectively, like ownership groups, associates, clients, colleagues, and brand representatives. Physical Requirements

Frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear. Occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
