Position Summary
Performs all job functions and position requirements of an AutoCAD Operator in addition to supporting the AutoCAD Director in the dissemination of tasks, coordination of Quality Control or other account related activities as assigned by the AutoCAD Director.
Position Competencies Responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of organization-wide and department specific standards. Competencies are evaluated initially during each employee’s Introductory Period using the on boarding plan and manager observations. Thereafter, competencies are assessed on an on-going basis and formally documented annually using the Annual Performance Appraisal Form.
Position Responsibilities Execute CAD operations and space planning solutions for retail. This includes CAD design control documentation such as floor plans, ceiling plans, lighting plans, elevations and placement of retail display fixtures.
The Jr. AutoCAD Operator is responsible for the organization of documentation files and works closely with project programmers and project teams to make sure the client’s needs are met in a timely manner.
The Jr. AutoCAD Operator must have the ability to work in a team environment. Speed and Accuracy are important. Planning direction is typically set by the Project Directors and scheduling monitored by the Program Managers. Punctuality and Regular attendance are required on the job.
Position Requirements / Qualifications Education: AutoCAD certificate 2 year; 4-year CAD degree preferred)
Experience: 2 - 3 years related experience with CAD Retail Space Planning, preferred.

As observed by manager and others.
Review of documentation.
Project results are delivered in a competent and efficient manner as determined by outcomes, quality monitors, and other internal and external processes.
Conduct and interpersonal relationships contribute positively to the delivery of quality ideas, processes and results, and to the orderly operation of the department and the organization.
Skills are maintained and enhanced through effective communication and participation in planning activities, and attendance at in service and continuing education programs.
Regular attendance is required on the job.

Required Experience with AutoCAD (version 2022 or later)
Edit and make changes in AutoCAD
How to use Drafting standards
Layer control and integration with CAD Blocks
CAD Block creation and Usage
Proper use of Model space and Paper space
How to properly scale & plot to scale new & existing drawings
Plot style tables
Able to read architectural drawings in order to complete detailed plans and elevations.
Convert CAD documents to PDF file format.
Mental and Emotional Requirements The incumbent must manage stress appropriately; make decisions under pressure; handle multiple priorities, work alone; work in areas that are confined and/or crowded.
Environmental Conditions The incumbent will never be exposed to toxins, chemicals, detergents, and extreme temperatures (30degrees F – 115 degrees F), dust, fumes, moving mechanical parts, x-ray/electromagnetic energy, high pitched noises, Communicable diseases, or gases. The incumbent will spend approximately 80% of their time indoors.
Physical Demands SEDENTARY WORK: Lifting 10 lbs. maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying articles.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and/or push up to 30 pounds with mechanical assistance. This position requires stooping, kneeling, bending, manual dexterity, repetitive hand and arm coordination, finger dexterity, vision acuity both far and near with depth perception. The incumbent will sit 75% of the time and stand/walk 25% of the time.
