The Fire Suppression Technician will lead a team to test, inspect, service, and repair the Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta International Airport fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge) on a 24/7/365 schedule. Responsibilities include: Demonstrate leadership, ensuring safe work performance, managing administrative tasks and overseeing team assignments. Perform testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs of all fire suppression equipment. Conduct performance tests and record work order details in the Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management System. Maintain and care for tools and equipment used for testing, inspections and repairs. Support outside contractors on special projects required by the client. Adhere to NFPA, OSHA, Georgia state, and Atlanta Fire Marshal regulations, and all site health, safety and environmental programs. Essential Job Functions

In addition to the responsibilities above, the technician will: Use hand tools, power tools and equipment applicable to testing, servicing, inspection, and repair of fire suppression systems. Cut, thread and hang sprinkler pipe; install or replace sprinkler heads. Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, accelerators, motors, and low‑voltage system components. Read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical data sheets. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of wet, dry, pre‑action and deluge fire suppression systems. Knowledge of low‑voltage systems and mechanical aptitude for fire system components. Ability to diagnose and repair fire suppression systems. Proficiency in CMMS (Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management, Maintenance Connection, Maximo) and Microsoft Office. Strong safety awareness and compliance with NFPA, Georgia Fire Code, Atlanta Fire Marshal, and OSHA standards. Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. One to three years’ experience in testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems. One to three years’ experience working with low‑voltage systems (five years preferred). Valid driver’s license and eligibility to be covered by Jacobs liability insurance. Preferred Qualifications

NICET I certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology. 3+ years’ experience with low‑voltage systems. Five years’ experience with low‑voltage systems. Working Conditions

This position involves substantial time performing safety‑sensitive labor or services. Shift work is required: first (6 am‑2 pm), second (2 pm‑10 pm) or third (10 pm‑6 am). Benefits & Compensation
