Reimbursement, Team Lead, Pre-Billing Eligibility working remotely from your USA home-based office , with a start date prior to February 9, 2026.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Reimbursement, Team Lead, Pre-Billing Eligibility

The Pre-Billing Team Lead

is a hands-on leader responsible for mentoring and supporting the eligibility team in verifying insurance coverage for molecular diagnostic laboratory tests. This role involves actively working on department tasks while ensuring productivity and quality standards are met or exceeded. In addition to task completion, the Team Lead provides high-level support by answering questions and promptly resolving issues. A key responsibility is assigning daily tasks and assisting department leadership in monitoring team assignments and staffing to ensure timely completion of work. The Team Lead offers hands-on guidance, coaching, and support, serving as a resource for team members while identifying trends and areas for improvement. Additionally, they provide feedback to leadership on training opportunities and process enhancements to optimize team performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent GED or equivalent work experience.

A minimum of 2 years of health insurance eligibility and prior authorization experience or equivalent job experience.

In depth knowledge of assigning correct insurance plans during the eligibility process, expertise in extracting key plan information within an eligibility response, experience navigating various payer portals to obtain eligibility information, and experience communicating with patients, clinician offices, and leadership regarding the eligibility process.

Experience handling a high volume of claims work daily (70 plus claims per day)

Typing speed of 35 or more words per minute, with 90% or greater accuracy.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

5 - 10% as needed for training and meetings

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, exempt, working remotely within the USA.
