Position Summary The
Account Development Executive for our Small Dealer Services team
creates business relationships in competitive accounts selling CDK’s DMS solutions. You will grow new market share through conquest sales, targeting franchise dealers with two sites or less. Working with channel partners, you will expand sales opportunities in CDK strategic products and achieve the assigned annual sales plan under Sales Leadership guidance.
Job Responsibilities & Expectations
Uncover dealer prospect needs and challenge clients to maximize business results by embracing CDK solutions.
Maintain consistent sales calls.
80% face‑to‑face interaction with dealerships.
80% travel required, including overnight trips.
Daily communication with channel partners and management; monthly conference call with the Senior Director of Sales; engage in solution‑sales processes; manage overall account relationships; close business to meet assigned annual quota; prevent competitor penetration; analyze total dealer spend; assimilate product and technology knowledge to configure and quote product solutions; engage the full breadth of CDK channel partners; gain quick access to key decision makers.
Requirements
2‑5 years of B2B technology or solution sales experience in an outside‑sales role.
Experience uncovering new business accounts.
Automotive industry experience required.
Ability to travel 80% of the time, Monday–Friday, including overnight travel.
Strong objection‑handling skills.
Consultative solution‑selling experience aligned with clients’ business needs.
Negotiation and closing sales experience.
Experience developing and managing a sales territory.
Self‑driven, persistent, ambitious, and highly motivated.
Excellent communication, listening, and questioning skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Salary $75,000+ Uncapped Commissions. CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on skills, experience, certifications, and location and may include an annual performance bonus, benefits, and other incentive plans.
