Job Summary:
We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices. Accuracy and speed are key to this position, as you will play a vital part in our logistics process and customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for staging picked items for packing and shipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to all warehouse Safety protocols. Teamwork and communication are essential, as you will often collaborate with packing and shipping teams. We maintain a strong focus on Safety, requiring all associates to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests, and to follow all established procedures to prevent accidents. This physically active role involves significant standing, walking, and regular Lifting of items up to 45 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Utilize pick lists or scanning equipment to locate items.
- Verify the quantity and accuracy of picked items.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and immediate work area.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety glasses and footwear.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
- Contribute to efficient inventory management through accurate picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment and order sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all workplace rules.
