Who You Are

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in the health insurance/benefits industry to join our team as a Senior Practice Director, Healthcare Benefits. You are passionate about the consulting industry and bring extensive experience in cost optimization and strategic management of Healthcare/Benefit Network Providers, Brokers/Advisors, Third-Party Administrators, Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Stop Loss Insurance, etc. You have a proven ability to develop innovative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions for large enterprise clients, and you excel in identifying savings opportunities based on client demographic, contracts, and pricing schedules. With strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, you build and maintain productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and executives, and you thrive in presenting complex information to C‑level executives. You are committed to delivering outstanding results and have a track record of securing favorable contracts and plan administration.

What You Will Do

  • Expense Reduction Analysis
    • Collect, analyze, and present data to help clients identify and implement expense reduction opportunities.
    • Review organizational processes and systems to uncover inefficiencies and savings opportunities using industry expertise and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management
    • Negotiate or advise clients on negotiating best‑in‑class pricing and business terms.
    • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, contract terms, and pricing changes to provide actionable insights.
  • Project Management
    • Manage project timelines, milestones, and action items to ensure timely and successful completion of client engagements.
    • Develop and adhere to defined Practice Group and Company processes and procedures.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendor executives.
    • Present savings opportunities and new project proposals effectively to clients.
  • Strategic Consulting
    • Leverage creative thinking to resolve complex and sensitive client issues.
    • Provide credibility in the sales process by developing value propositions, attending strategic sales calls, and conducting sales training.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Prepare comprehensive analyses and documentation regarding savings opportunities for existing and prospective clients.

Qualifications

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10‑20 years of experience in consulting or related fields
  • Familiarity with managing projects in a high‑paced, client‑facing environment.
  • Experience presenting savings and project outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in health insurance/benefits cost optimization, including experience in pricing, implementation, or related roles.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions for large enterprise clients.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify savings opportunities based on client infrastructure, contracts, and pricing schedules.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to monitor and interpret industry trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive client and vendor relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to C‑level executives and other stakeholders.
  • Passion for the consulting industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

The salary range for this position is $139,470 – $210,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, education, qualifications, and applicable employment laws.
