What you’ll do:

  • Act as the sales and service executive of your assigned territory accepting responsibility and achievement of established sales goals
  • Identify, recruit, train, and work with a team of volunteers to help grow Scouting in your respective sales territory through acquiring new members, surpassing fundraising targets, and providing excellent customer service to retain current members
  • Work with local school administration to coordinate and organize recruiting opportunities for potential new members
  • Make weekly sales calls to potential new partners for the purpose of creating additional joining opportunities and new members
  • Establish and cultivate positive relationships with current members and conduct site visits monthly to connect volunteers to appropriate resources as needed
  • Ensure a consistent, quality program is being delivered at all levels across your territory by following established standards of practice
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including data related to membership growth, fundraising, customer service, and program delivery
  • Develop and maintain a professional, inspiring “team-player” environment that attracts, retains, and motivates volunteers interested in serving Scouting
  • Serve as the organizational representative and spokesperson to assure that Circle Ten Council is well represented to current and new constituents, as well as the community and territory you serve
  • Actively engage in and contribute to monthly staff development and informational meetings

Skills, Competencies, & Experience you’ve had:

  • 21 years of age and ability to travel to various locations requiring a reliable vehicle, current auto insurance coverage, and a valid driver’s license
  • Prior successful sales and marketing experience preferred
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills combined with outstanding time management
  • Ability to follow-up and gain commitment by overcoming objectives through persuasive sales techniques
  • Collaboration and building trust
  • Selling the vision/mission and initiating action
  • Able to work varied hours when necessary to accomplish position objectives, which may include some nights and occasional weekends.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Circle Ten Council offers a competitive package of benefits to team members. The benefits offered are among the best in the nonprofit sector. The package includes major medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage in addition to long-term disability, accident, and life insurance, and retirement plans. The starting salary for a Sales & Service Executive is $52,000. Annual salary adjustments are based on an individual’s contributions and overall performance. An allowance for vehicle ($650 based on area) and mobile phone ($100) are provided.
