Youth Ministry Director - First Presbyterian Church of Evanston - Evanston
What You'll Do:
• Develop and oversee a fun and engaging curriculum for youth (grades 6th-12th).
• Design a fun and engaging youth program in partnership with the church council that oversees children's and youth programming.
• Lead and empower a team of dedicated volunteers. Recruit, equip, and train new volunteers, fostering a spirit of teamwork and service.
• Develop and lead weekly Sunday morning Christian education programs.
• Coordinate special events (including annual retreat, confirmation class, baptisms, and mission trip) throughout the year, making church a place where kids love to be.
• Use and hone organizational skills: Follow a safety plan including maintaining a database of background-checked volunteers, stay within a budget, organize spaces and resources.
• Partner with staff to integrate youth programs into the broader church life, building a united community.
