As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. You will also be responsible for training and supporting the drive-ins’ employees to ensure we provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner so that our guests will have an enjoyable experience at Sonic! The job duties include:
• Managing, training, and coaching Working Partners/General Managers and conducting management orientation.
• Directing and assigning employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards.
• Overseeing multiple drive-in employees and management in performing duties across various stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop, and Drive-Thru if applicable) during shifts to ensure quality and service standards.
• Ensuring compliance with the employee handbook, policies, and practices.
• Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly and reporting them to the supervisor.
• Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for continuous guest service.
• Monitoring costs related to food, labor, paper, and inventory, and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Auditing employment and payroll records.
• Reinforcing guest-first service principles.
• Responding to guest requests and complaints respectfully and promptly.
• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
• Approving compensation levels within company guidelines.
• Preparing operational reports and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
• Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum of three years restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Multi-unit supervision experience preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices.
• Understanding of labor laws and health regulations.
• Leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems.
• Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
