TK-3 Director
Full-Time (12-months), Exempt, Category 2
Reports to: Principal of Grades TK-8
Overview
The Elementary School Director reports directly to the Principal of Grades TK-8 and assumes supervision on behalf of or in the absence of the principal. At the discretion of the principal, specific responsibilities and latitude of independent action will vary, but the position will assist in the administration of the school and provide leadership over student life and campus operations. The TK-3 Director will assist in the formulation of policies, organizational plans, goals, and objectives in order to develop and maintain an educationally effective school of excellence.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a Master’s Degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other online platforms
- Commitment to a lifestyle above reproach in line with OCS Statement of Faith and Biblical Worldview
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
- Support the Principal in implementing school culture, policies, and programs.
- Supervise, evaluate, and support faculty, staff, and support personnel.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing staff through Professional Growth Plans and feedback (Folio).
- Prepare and submit reports as requested by the principal.
- Oversee daily operations, including supervision schedules, car line, break times, and campus logistics.
- Manage supplies, uniforms, lunch catering, and substitute coordination.
- Serve as acting administrator when the principal is off campus.
Student Support & Discipline
- Oversee student behavior, discipline, and conflict resolution with parents and students.
- Collaborate with the Student Support Team on SEL and academic support programs.
- Proactively assist students in crisis and enforce school values.
Community & Communication
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, parents, and the school community.
- Participate in and support school-wide events such as onboarding, Back to School Night, performances, and admissions events.
Programming & School Life
- Plan and execute assemblies, field trips, service projects, and signature school events.
- Assist in planning faculty meetings, emergency drills, and school improvements.
- Stay informed on educational trends and contribute to program development.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Principal or Head of School
