Clinical Director (Behavioral Health - Residential)
Full‑time, permanent opportunity to lead a residential behavioral health program serving children in a mission‑driven nonprofit organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW – The Clinical Director oversees clinical integrity, compliance, and effectiveness of residential programs, works closely with executive leadership to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and compassionate care.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for residential behavioral health programs serving children.
- Supervise, mentor, and support managers, clinicians, and direct care staff across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards, including child welfare and mental health requirements.
- Oversee clinical program design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement.
- Partner with executive leadership and external agencies to support coordinated, ethical, and effective service delivery.
- Support staff training, performance management, and professional development aligned with best practices.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, child development, or a related field.
- Active and valid California LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist license (required).
- Clinical experience within residential and/or child‑serving behavioral health settings.
- Supervisory experience leading clinical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of DSM‑V, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, and child protection systems.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS – Salary range $115,000–$130,000, depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, and additional nonprofit‑structured benefits.
