Overview

Essential Anesthesia Management is seeking a service‑oriented Director of CV Anesthesiology to join a collaborative anesthesia team at HCA Kingwood in the Greater Houston area. This full‑time W2 employed position offers a robust compensation and benefits package, a wide‑ranging case mix, and support from a strong, collegial team.

Position Highlights

• $625,000 W2 with full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, employer‑paid short‑term/long‑term disability, malpractice and CME
• 26 weeks off per year
• CV Calls ONLY
• Primary day‑to‑day focus: CABGs, valves, cath lab and TAVRs – the anesthesiologist will perform all CV cases
• Team of 8 anesthesiologists and 18 CRNAs
• Daily staffing: 4 doctors (3 general, 1 CV) and 14 CRNAs

Responsibilities

• Lead anesthesia care for all CV cases, including CABGs, valves, cath lab procedures, and TAVRs.
• Collaborate with the anesthesiology team to maintain a high‑quality, patient‑focused anesthesia service.
• Participate in case planning, performance review, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage daily staffing schedules for the anesthesia team.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty.
• CV fellowship preferred but not required; strong plus.
