SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in‑office. We operate as a digital‑first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India, with physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Gurugram and Bengaluru. This is a remote, U.S.‑based position. If you’re located near one of these offices we welcome you to come in regularly; some roles are hybrid or in‑office by design.

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead and grow our engineering team. You’ll initially oversee 12‑14 engineers across product development and core engineering, scaling further as we expand. If you’ve led high‑performing engineering and product teams, have a growth mindset, and bring at least 5 years of people‑management experience, we’d love to talk.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for API products and solutions and operational capabilities—ensuring scalable, secure, and performant delivery.
  • Manage an initial team of 12‑14 engineers, structuring, mentoring, and scaling effectively as we grow. Foster a culture of continuous learning, hiring top talent, holding rigorous technical discussions, and promoting high standards.
  • Collaborate closely with product, data science, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders to align engineering efforts with strategic business goals.
  • Implement best practices for engineering workflows—scalability, observability, incident response, and reliability of all applications.
  • Drive innovative architectural decisions and platform evolution to support product differentiation and speed to market.

Requirements

  • A business mindset that involves thinking strategically to align engineering efforts with overall business goals, prioritizing high‑ROI projects, and cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit of ownership and continuous improvement within the team.
  • 5+ years leading engineering teams (managing 10+ people), ideally within fast‑growth tech environments.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high‑functioning teams with high hiring and retention standards.
  • Experience in full‑stack engineering, API‑based products, and in a SaaS‑based environment.Strong communicator; capable of collaborating across product, data, and executive functions.
  • Bonus: Experience in fintech, fraud/risk or identity systems.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States.

Salary Range

$220,000 /year – $290,000 /year + equity + benefits
