Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Territory Director who will report to the Senior Director of International Sales and Business Development. The role will lead and execute the sales strategy in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, driving territory development and revenue generation. Candidates should blend business development, customer engagement, mentoring, and cross‑functional leadership to thrive in the defense and security technology sector. The position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Lead regional strategy and execute comprehensive sales plans for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing of complex deals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers, resellers, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company technology and long‑term growth goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics; maintain accurate CRM data for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Perform comprehensive market analysis and maintain knowledge of local market conditions, geopolitical events, and economic trends.
  • Monitor regional trends, threats, and competitor activity; share insights with leadership to inform broader strategy.
  • Forecast and anticipate future demand by analyzing local procurement cycles and budget timelines.
  • Manage channel partners: classify as strategic, tactical, or opportunistic; prioritize partners with direct access to core customer bases.
  • Recruit and vet new channel partners, conducting due diligence to assess alignment and capabilities.
  • Ensure local partners maintain high product knowledge and functional demonstration kits.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, marketing, support, and operations teams to deliver customer engagements and project fulfillment.
  • Collect and synthesize end‑user requirements; convey insights to inform product development roadmaps and local feasibility.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, demonstrations, and strategic meetings; plan and execute local marketing activities.
  • Serve as primary local point of contact, coordinating visits from company management and engineering teams into the territory.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience navigating complex defense regulatory environments, military procurement processes, or government contracting.
  • Secondary school completion (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, business development, or account management experience.
  • Proven success selling MANET, wireless communications, or tactical radio technologies.
  • Strong track record in military, defense, or public safety sales environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or team management.
  • Open to applicants with a military service background.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Post‑secondary education or bachelor’s in business, engineering, communications, or related field.
  • Understanding of MANET ecosystems, competitive landscape, and customer mission needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude in tactical communications and RF networking.
  • Previous program management experience in high‑performance sales environments.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

  • Remote‑based with up to 50% travel; occasional heavier periods to customer engagements, corporate events, trade shows, and demonstrations.
  • Work may be performed in office settings, field demos, and trade show venues.
  • Outdoor environment for demos.
  • Required to lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for demonstration set‑up and testing.
  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens during field tests or demonstrations.
