Head of Sales and Business Development – West Coast
Aduro Advisors is looking for a Head of Sales and Business Development – West Coast to work alongside our COO and VP of Sales and Business Development to implement a strategy to grow our existing client base in the Venture Capital and Private Equity space. The role requires a creative problem‑solver, highly organized, and passionate about technology.
Base pay range
$140,000 – $165,000 per year

Here Is The Type Of Work You Will Do
- Develop an in‑depth understanding of our technology platform and a sales strategy specific to this offering.
- Obtain a deep understanding of the fund‑administration competitive landscape and competitor offerings.
- Learn Aduro’s service offering including scope of services, differentiators, and FundPanel features.
- Assess Aduro’s Ideal Customer Profile and existing client base to identify prospective client fit.
- Run the sales process from end to end, including accurate entry and maintenance of prospect information in Salesforce.
- Lead prospective client calls, providing an overview of our service and product offering, assess needs and pain points, and explain how Aduro can be the solution.
- Produce client proposals, including pricing, negotiations, and final close of sale, looping in the VP of Sales and Business Development and COO as necessary.
- Develop relationships with strategic partners and create partnership offerings to complement or amplify Aduro’s offering.
- Partner with Marketing to optimize and act on inbound leads, focusing on improving conversion and shortening the sales cycle.
- Identify industry events, obtain access, and attend as an Aduro representative.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in a business development or client‑relationship‑focused role.
- Prior experience selling software to the venture capital and private equity community.
- Significant knowledge of the venture capital industry and fund‑administration service offerings.
- Experience managing relationships with high‑profile partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of mediums.
- Comfortable using software systems including Salesforce, G Suite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack.

Location & availability
Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and be willing to attend in‑person events on a roughly weekly basis.
