Job Title: Inventory Clerk - Night Shift at Idaho Milk Products
The inventory clerk is a key member of the procurement team, responsible for accounting of parts and supplies used, as well as organization and physical count of inventory. This position assists internal customers in need of parts or supplies, stages necessary parts and supplies for scheduled repairs, and works with other team members in day-to-day operations.
Position Summary
This is a key position within our company that builds strong working relationships with employees and departments through clear communications, collaborative efforts, and teamwork. Essential Functions, Duties And Performance Responsibilities
Provides service to those coming to the storeroom for parts; this service includes but is not limited to locating the item(s) needed, issuing the parts electronically as well as creating emergency work orders for the job. Organize stock items ensuring that all items are properly labeled and placed in their assigned bin locations. Performs physical inventory counts daily using a blind count method. Maintains work area in clean and orderly fashion including but not limited to sweeping floors and dusting shelves. Stages parts for upcoming down days as well as for scheduled plant maintenance. Update work orders as needed to enter time, materials, and status. Cross train in other department positions to cover when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience. Forklift experience is required. Computer experience. Valid driver's license. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Familiarity with inventory control. Knowledge of parts especially of those used in a diary facility is helpful. Excellent customer service skills. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Motivated self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, works well without supervision. Accuracy and attention to details in daily activities. Highly organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Effective prioritizing and time management skills. Good interpersonal skills. Scissor lift experience is helpful. Good computer skills. Physical Requirements
Subject to up to at least 92db’s Lifting: up to 50lbs. occasionally Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, on a regular basis Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist occasionally Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities that must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly Subject to short term exposure of temperatures above 100 degrees and below 0 degrees, depending upon the environmental conditions.
