Responsibilities The Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on the project. Responsibilities include scheduling work to meet deadlines in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Execute Look Ahead Schedules
Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies
Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
Logistics planning
Scheduling construction daily and weekly
Execute project work plans
Manage crews productively and efficiently
Training crew members
Maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience with overseeing earthwork, demo, grading, cement treated base, lime and/or other related disciplines required
Highway construction experience required
Extensive knowledge in heavy equipment operation and working in and adjacent to traffic required
Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, client, vendors, subcontractors and visitors
TxDOT construction experience preferred
Design Build Experience preferred
