Senior Cost Estimator
Duties: Reviewing CM/GC subcontract pricing and recommendation throughout the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) process; reviewing and validating CM/GC change requests; developing independent cost estimates as needed; maintaining organized and detailed files, project records and logs; attending project meetings as required; partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our project services teammates; and cost estimating professional developing capital costs, developing quantity takeoffs, writing basis of estimate reports, developing comparison costs for alternatives, developing unit costs for rough order magnitude prices, and researching local market conditions. Hybrid schedule is allowed. Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 6 years of work experience as an Estimator, Project Engineer, Project Manager or related occupation. Specific Skills: Expertise and knowledge of bid evaluation and negotiation experience. Civil and vertical construction estimating experience. Developing detailed estimates that reflect current market trends by using a bottom-up approach and leveraging industry knowledge and project design documents. Creation of estimates using industry-standard estimating software like HCSS (HeavyBid), InEight, Pro Est Sage (Timberline) or similar enterprise level systems. Review design drawings, specifications, and codes to identify potential construction issues or inefficiencies that could impact cost and schedule. Digital takeoff and quantity surveying software such as Bluebeam Revu, On-screen Takeoff, PlanSwift or similar. Data analysis tools like MS Office Products. Estimating skills including, but not limited to cost data analysis, risk and opportunity assessment. Market trend analysis, escalation analysis.
