The Construction Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations on high-voltage electrical installation projects from pre-construction through closeout. This includes oversight of safety, quality, schedule, cost, field personnel, material management, subcontractors, and client communication. The role ensures that work is executed in accordance with project specifications and aligned with overall objectives. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Lead daily construction activities for assigned high voltage projects. Participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost control development. Coordinate material procurement to ensure timely delivery and availability. Serve as the primary field contact for client communication and relationship management. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure required permits, approvals, and documentation are secured and maintained. Review and provide approval for internal and external project reports and cost forecasts. Collaborate with engineering teams to support and implement field design changes. Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and company policies. Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent field leadership experience may substitute for a degree. 5+ years of construction experience within the Electric Power Industry. Proven background managing EPC or utility infrastructure projects. Experience with estimating, material management, scheduling, and subcontract execution, and cost tracking. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Willing to travel up to 100% based on project assignments. Valid driver’s license; ability to secure TWIC if required. Technical Experience (Required)

High Voltage Electrical Infrastructure

Power distribution systems (15kV–500kV environments) Substation construction, modernization, and expansion projects Greenfield and brownfield yard work under energized-clearance protocols Transmission line yard, bus work, grounding, and structural installations Major Electrical & Mechanical Equipment

Power transformers (installation, alignment, oil processing coordination) Switchgear (AIS & GIS), circuit breakers, disconnects, and control panels SF6 handling, evacuation, and environmental compliance practices Civil & Structural Components

Drill piers, foundations, equipment pads, and steel erection Duct bank design / layout, form / pour, and thermal backfill requirements Cable tray routing, trenching, conduit routing, and grounding grids Electrical Installation & Termination

Pulling, dressing, terminating, and testing power cable and control cable Feeder upgrades and circuit cutovers in live utility environments QA / QC documentation, redlines, and as-built verification
