Purchasing Manager Whitehall MI
Salary Range: $85000 - $125000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and MRO.
Source, evaluate and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to ensure material specifications and quality standards are met.
Monitor market trends and supply chain risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Recommended Qualifications
5 years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and relationship building.
Demonstrated ability to achieve cost reductions and optimize supply chain efficiencies.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and inventory control.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience in international sourcing and supply chain management.
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
