Business Development Representative – Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits
Territory Location: Bronx/Staten Island/Manhattan below 60th Street
Monday through Friday day hours with occasional evening hours
Industry and Sales Experience preferred

Commercial compensation: expected first year earnings of $60,000 plus incentives. Final offers evaluate education, skills, and experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Follow a consistent visit schedule and input into the assigned system
Assist with the selling‑in of trade solutions, sampling activations, and POC placement
Implement sales performance measures and targets using brand priorities in achieving expected results
Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, sales data tools, and changes in climate, competitive activity, and special promotional activities
Utilize sales history, data tools, and competitive activity to manage territory and retailers
Promote and build brand awareness of the assigned portfolio
Execute events and promotional activities – sampling, engraving, training (may include evenings and weekends)
Review target account analysis and reports to ensure brands are performing at the top of class levels for all assigned accounts
Establish and supervise quality control standards. Connect with all departments as necessary
Improve velocity in accounts by building displays, driving distribution, resetting coolers, displaying POS items, educating retail employees, hand‑selling, sampling, securing features, and developing promotional programs
Ensure product is accurately priced and POS compliant
Utilize AB sales tools for daily activities and to report on activities. Knowledge and adherence to local alcoholic beverage laws
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
Certified Cicerone or Certified Beer Server licensing preferred
1‑3 years of proven experience in Distribution, Outside Sales, Food/Beverage or related industry
Physical Demands
Considerable time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer or adding machine
Walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping occasionally
Ability to work nights, weekends, and other required hours
May require occasional lifting / lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs
