The Content Writer has global responsibility for developing and advancing the strategic content framework for the Varian business area. This role ensures a unified, customer‑centric narrative across all channels that reflects Siemens Healthineers’ mission to create a world without fear of cancer, while strengthening brand awareness, engagement, and customer experience.

Working with business line marketing, regional teams, agency partners, and executive leadership, this individual serves as a strategic advisor ensuring all content maintains consistent quality, tone, and brand alignment across global and local touchpoints.

We are seeking an experienced Content Writer who can craft compelling, scientifically accurate stories that bring innovation in cancer care to life while placing customer value at the heart of every message. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of healthcare and medical technology with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and value‑driven narratives that inspire confidence and drive action.

You will play a key role in shaping how our brand communicates — helping clinicians, patients, and partners see how advanced technologies improve care and outcomes worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and optimize high‑quality, value‑driven content for all marketing platforms (web, email, social, thought leadership, presentations, case studies, and campaigns).
  • Translate scientific and technical information into language that resonates with key audiences.
  • Support content strategy by aligning all copy to the cancer care narrative.
  • Align all content with the overarching cancer care narrative to support strategic content initiatives.
  • Manage and grow our blog, Centerline, including developing and maintaining an editorial calendar.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, digital marketing including SEO, design, and clinical experts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and visibility.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure all content aligns with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Review and advise on content strategy for product launches, clinical innovations, and customer success stories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, life sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in content creation, preferably in healthcare, medtech, or life sciences.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, digital marketing, and SEO best practices.
  • Ability to grasp complex medical concepts and write clearly for different audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in healthcare marketing.
  • Professional, with grace under fire. Highly motivated and execution focused.
  • Tactful and diplomatic – the ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including most senior company, customer, and partner management.
  • Adept at working within highly matrixed, cross‑functional environments.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $139,180 - $191,378. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
