We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Strategist to lead strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid search campaigns across Google Ads. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment and knows Google Ads inside out. The successful candidate will combine creativity, analytical skills, and technical know‑how to deliver impactful digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy Development – conduct in‑depth market research, identify target audiences, and analyse competitors.
Set targets for all accounts with a minimum 25% month‑over‑month growth.
Creative testing and development – collaborate with the creative team to innovate and introduce new formats such as videos, images, advertorials, VSLs, and copy.
Explore AI‑powered solutions and new ad formats to drive innovation.
Create niche playbooks (e.g., health & wellness, fashion & apparel, SaaS).
Implement and monitor new processes, ensuring adoption across the team.
Participate in client calls to discuss innovation, scaling plans, and overall business development.
Support the team on account‑related questions or issues; troubleshoot performance dips and maximise gains.
Train and develop team members in both technical and interpersonal skills.
Set monthly goals with clients and monitor achievement.
Foster a culture of innovation and optimisation, encouraging autonomy and positive change.
Hit yearly management goals through innovation, collaboration, and non‑traditional approaches.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Advocate for innovation beyond Google Ads, offering recommendations for other platforms such as Facebook.
Qualifications
Degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Business, or related field (preferred).
Advanced certifications in Google Ads, SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, or attribution tools; additional CRO or UX certifications are a strong advantage.
6+ years of hands‑on performance marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or strategic role, preferably in an agency.
Proven track record managing six‑to‑seven‑figure monthly budgets with measurable ROI.
Experience leading or mentoring teams, fostering collaboration and talent development.
Expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Shopify, and attribution tools.
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce and project management tools like ClickUp or Monday.com.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript to troubleshoot or collaborate with development teams.
Advanced analytical skills: translate complex datasets into actionable strategies.
Strong understanding of marketing funnels, customer segmentation, and lifecycle marketing.
Experience crafting omnichannel strategies, including display, video, and emerging ad formats.
Knowledge of YouTube/Demand Gen campaigns is a strong advantage.
Adept at A/B and multivariate testing for continuous improvement.
Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder collaboration.
Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
Adaptable to new platforms, tools, and algorithms, staying ahead of industry trends.
