We’re looking for a mid-level, fixed-term, multidisciplinary Creative to join our award-winning Immersive team at Journey’s Squint/Opera studio in New York! About the Studio Squint/Opera is Journey’s immersive design studio, bridging the digital and physical worlds through groundbreaking storytelling and emerging technologies such as Unreal Engine and virtual twins. We’ve pioneered projects like the Empire State Building Observatory’s digital reinvention, Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station, and virtual production campaigns for Qiddiya City. We operate at the forefront of experiential multidimensional design (MDX) and are a core part of Journey’s Experience Stack, integrating expertise across physical, lighting, live & immersive, and emerging technology studios. About the Role We are seeking a versatile, multidisciplinary creative to collaborate with Senior Creatives, the Creative Director, and Producers, helping interpret briefs and contribute to engaging experiences across digital and physical formats for exhibition projects within cultural and brand sectors. Your work will shape how audiences interact with 2D, 3D, print, and interactive media. Main Responsibilities Collaborate with Senior Creatives, Producers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop creative ideas into high-quality, impactful content. Support art direction across projects including film (live-action, CG, VFX, animation), interactive media, and experiential design. Participate in client meetings, understand briefs, and assist in building narratives and creative concepts for deliverables such as treatments, storyboards, spatial designs, script drafts, brief decks, and style frames. Assist in visual direction from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with client goals and maintaining high creative standards. Coordinate with Producers to help maintain timelines and participate in project reviews. Create presentation materials for ongoing projects and new business pitches. Outcomes Immersive Impact: Contribute to crafting memorable visitor experiences within exhibitions. Collaborative Contribution: Support project teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and seamless visual integration. Continuous Growth: Gain experience in pioneering exhibition design and emerging interactive technologies. About You You are a multidisciplinary creative who can shape big ideas and is passionate about narrative-driven storytelling through cutting-edge design. Qualifications 3+ years of design experience in a creative agency or production environment. Strong sense of design aesthetics and attention to detail. Versatility in various design styles and platforms. Strong narrative sensibility in visual storytelling. Demonstrated ability to execute creative concepts effectively. Background in motion graphics, especially 3D motion design and style frames, strongly preferred. Proficiency with Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Desirable Familiarity with museum/exhibition design. Experience with Figma. Basic proficiency with Cinema 4D. Understanding of Unity or digital content pipelines. Adaptable and comfortable working in evolving creative environments. Enthusiastic about exploring new creative technologies and techniques.
