Position: Product Designer / Industrial Designer
Level: Intermediate
Based in New York with offices in Los Angeles and Madrid, Rockwell Group is an interdisciplinary architecture and design firm that emphasizes innovation and thought leadership in every project. Role
Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Product / Industrial Designer to join our office in New York.
Main Responsibilities
Conceptualize compelling and unique designs and articulate ideas visually and verbally from concept through execution including research, design ideation, rendering and production
Provide custom furniture drawings and work closely with vendors and manufacturers with a focus on hospitality/residential commercial grade products
Understanding of appropriate material selection and specifications
Refine and develop ideas for Studio Leader and Partner
Qualifications
Intermediate experience with FF&E, OS&E, and lighting design for a hospitality firm
Degree in Interiors, Architectural, Product, or Industrial Design
Demonstrates a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills
Ability to produce design drawings, specifications and provide prototyping through production
Skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup, and/or hand drawings
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to accept creative direction and revisions collaboratively and graciously
Ability to work in a small team and independently
General Information
This is a full-time, in-studio position with hybrid/work‑from‑home flexibility, provided it does not interfere with responsibilities and complies with current office policy outlined in the Rockwell Group Handbook. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $110,000 to $140,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and yearly performance reviews.
